Blackout Studio app

Blackout Studio processes screenshots, photos, and PDFs locally on your device. The app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share image data or personal data. Files are opened from your chosen location and exported only to a location you select. No account or network connection is required.

For file-based images, the app may temporarily keep the original file path and edit instructions locally to offer crash recovery. It never retains a copy of your image. This recovery information is deleted when the app closes normally and can be discarded when the app next opens. Clipboard-only images are never included in recovery.

Exported images are newly encoded without carrying forward source image metadata. Secure PDF exports are rebuilt as image-only PDF pages: the original text layer, links, annotations, and source document metadata are not carried into the exported PDF. If you choose to copy an image export, it is placed only on your device clipboard.
